Short Biography

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Göçen completed his undergraduate studies in the English Language Teaching Department at Gazi University and his doctoral studies in Educational Administration at Gaziantep University. Before joining academia, he worked for over eight years at institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education (MoNE). During this time, he served as a teacher, administrator, and project coordinator in the Research and Development unit of the Provincial Directorate of National Education, in schools, and at the Ministry’s central organization (YEĞİTEK), and participated in numerous international projects. He served as Director of the Center for Continuing Education at Harran University and held managerial roles in the coordination of the URFA STEM Center, STEM Academy and Career Centers, and the Center for the Education of the Gifted (ŞÜZMER). In his current volunteer work with civil society organizations, he focuses on development and transformation projects related to artificial intelligence and STEM in education. In this context, he has achieved awards in competitions such as TEKNOFEST and AI4TR with the young groups and teachers he works with. Academically, he has conducted research on innovative teaching methods and the meaningful work perceptions of teachers. His areas of interest include meaning-centered leadership and technology-based management. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Göçen, who is currently serving at Afyon Kocatepe University, has been working as a visiting faculty member at the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Ibn Haldun University since October 2022.
