Short Biography

He was born in Trabzon. He graduated from Uludağ University Faculty of Theology (1992). He completed his master's degree at the Catholic University of America in Washington DC in 1998, and his Ph.D. in 2003. He worked as a lecturer in sociology of religion at Uludağ University until 2018. He worked as a faculty member at the Faculty of Cultural Studies at the University of Bayreuth in Germany (2009-2011). He has been working as a professor at Marmara Faculty of Theology since 2018. His academic interests include sociology of religion, philosophical and theological hermeneutics, Catholic religious tradition, and methodology of human and social sciences.
