Short Biography

Mahmut Salihoğlu graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Theology in 1992. After teaching at Istanbul Imam - Hatip High School for one year, he started to work as a research assistant at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. 

He pursued his postgraduate studies in University of Manchester, Department of Middle Eastern Studies. He received his master's degree with the thesis titled "The Nature of Halakhah, Louis Jacobs and the Modern Halakhic Debate" and his PhD degree with the thesis titled "Spinoza's Use of the Bible in the Tractatus Theologico-Politicus" 

He taught BA and MA courses at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Theology from 2001 to 2013. He has been working as a lecturer at Istanbul University Faculty of Theology since 2013.
