Short Biography

Mehmet Fatih Aysan is an esteemed part-time faculty member in our department. His academic background is rich, with a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, an M.A. in International Relations from Marmara University, Turkey, and a B.A. in Sociology from Boğaziçi University, Turkey. Prof. Aysan has held various academic appointments, including roles as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at Istanbul Şehir University, and as an Instructor at King's University College at UWO. He is also serving as the Director of Marmara University's Institute for Population and Social Research since 2023. His research interests encompass a wide range of social issues, as evidenced by his numerous publications and participation in academic events. He particularly focuses on the topics related to social policy and demography.
