He was born in Diyarbakır (1971). He graduated from the Faculty of Theology at Selçuk University (1997). He completed his master's thesis in the Department of Tafsir with a study titled "Lafzi ve Gâî Yorum" (Literal and Gâî Commentary) (2000). He obtained his Ph.D. from Ankara University Faculty of Theology with a dissertation titled "İlk Dönem Hanefi Kaynaklarına Göre Ebu Hanife'nin Usul Anlayışında Sünnet" (Sunnah in Abu Hanifa's Understanding of Usul According to Early Hanafi Sources) (2007). He became an Associate Professor in 2012 and a Professor in 2019. Currently, he serves as a faculty member at the Faculty of Theology, Dicle University.
