He was born in Istanbul in 1970. He graduated from the Hadith Department of the Faculty of Usul al-Din at Al-Azhar University in Egypt in 1992. He completed his master's degree with a thesis titled "Curse (La’nah) According to Hadiths" at Marmara University in 1996, and his doctorate at Selçuk University with a thesis on "20th Century Scholars of Hadith in Aleppo and Abdulfettâh Abu Gudda's Hadith Scholarship" in 2008. In 2022, he obtained the title of Associate Professor. Married and father of three children, he is currently serving at Yalova Faculty of Islamic Sciences.
