Short Biography

He was born in Istanbul (1973). He graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Theology (1995). He completed his master's degree at Marmara University with a thesis titled "Abd Allâh Salâhî Ushshâqî’s Treatises on Existence" (1998). He obtained his doctorate from Uludağ University with a thesis titled "Ismail Ankarawî and his commentary on the Mathnawî" (2005). He received the title of associate professor in 2012. He worked as a researcher at the Center for Islamic Studies (TDV) (2005-2013). He became an associate professor in 2013, and was promoted to the rank of Professor in 2020. He currently continues his works at Marmara University, Faculty of Theology. He has published works in the field of Sufism history.
