Short Biography

After graduating from Bursa Uludağ University, Department of History (BA), Res. Ass. Anıl Yasin Oğuz started the History master's program (MA) at the same university. He completed his master's thesis titled “Gunpowder in the Mongol Empire: Its Supply, Use, and Effects on Peoples of Eurasia”, in early 2023. Between 31 July and 13 August 2023, he participated in the 2023 International Young Mongolists Summer School, organized by the National Council for Mongol Studies and supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia, as the only Turkish participant, and carried out research and trips in Mongolia. He is currently continuing his doctorate (PhD) at Istanbul University, Department of General Turkish History. Oğuz's main research subjects are the history of the Inner Asian steppe states, the Inner Asian steppe culture, the history of the Eurasian steppe nomads, the history of the Mongol Empire, and the history of the Far East and China.
