Short Biography

After skipping the English preparation class Dr. Uysal has begun directly to her psychology study at the Near East University in Cyprus, where she has completed her first year as the department best. Then she changed to University of Vienna. After completing her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Vienna, Dr. Uysal graduated from the same university again in 2010. She hold her master's degree in clinical psychology as well as in child and adolescent psychology fields. While writing her master's thesis, she worked as an assistant at the Department of Psychology at the University of Vienna. During this assistant job, she was involved in the preparation, data collection and evaluation processes of a research project in elementary, secondary and high schools in Vienna. Dr. Uysal received one year of theoretical therapy training in cognitive behavioral school at a psychotherapy institute, which ist officially recognized in Germany. She also went through the process of self-analysis within the scope of psychotherapy education and practiced practical therapy in depression service of a clinic in Germany. She went on her academic career in 2012 as a research associate at the Department of Psychology at Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany. She worked at all stages of a longitudinal research project, which was implemented in secondary schools and high schools in Germany and reached thousands of students. She has completed her doctorate in 2016 as part of this project. Dr. Uysal worked also as a  lecturer in the psychology department of the same university in Germany. As of the fall of 2017, she has started her work at Ibn Haldun University.
