Emrah Pelvanoglu currently holds multiple roles at Yeditepe University, serving as the Director of the Freshmen Turkish Program, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education, and Chair of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature Teaching. During the academic year 2018-19, he conducted research about the “beginning of modern Turkish prose” as a TUBITAK-funded visiting researcher at CMES, Harvard University. He earned his Ph.D. from Bilkent University in 2011, and his dissertation, "Tanzimat and Metahistory: Poetics of Namık Kemal's Historical Narratives," was subsequently published by Vakıfbank Cultural Publications. HEobtained his MA from the Turkish Literature Department at Bilkent University in 2006 and his BA from the Turkish Language and Literature Department at Yeditepe University in 2003.
