Erdem İzzet Külçür graduated from the Faculty of Law at Istanbul Ticaret University in 2011. He obtained his attorney's licence from the Istanbul Bar Association in 2013 and earned his LL.M. and Ph.D. degrees from Galatasaray University in 2014 and 2020, respectively. During his postgraduate studies, he was a visiting researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law and a visiting scholar at the Franz von Liszt Institute for International Criminal Law and Justice at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Before joining Ibn Haldun University in 2021, Dr. Külçür served as a research assistant in the Department of Criminal Law at Istanbul Ticaret University. His research interests include organised and financial crime, international criminal law, and transnational criminal law. He speaks English, German, and Dutch.
