Short Biography
Dr. Torlak obtained his bachelor’s degree in economics from Istanbul University in 1987. He then went on to earn an MA in Management Systems from Hull University in 1991 and a PhD in Management Systems from the University of Lincoln in 1999 in the United Kingdom. Dr. Torlak's primary teaching interests include management, organizational behavior, organizational theory, strategic management, systems methodologies, creative managerial problem solving, and multimethodology. His research interests are on the use of systems methodologies, methods, and techniques to methodological, managerial, and organizational problems. He has published extensively in leading journals such as Expert Systems with Applications, Systemic Practice and Action Research, Systems Research and Behavioral Science, Current Psychology, International Journal of Productivity and Performance Management, Benchmarking: An International Journal, Journal of Workplace Behavioral Health, Journal of Modelling in Management, Journal of Quality in Maintenance Engineering, and The Learning Organization: An International Journal. Dr. Torlak is a management professor at Ibn Haldun University.
