Short Biography

In 2000, he graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Theology. He completed his master's degree at Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Philosophy and Religious Sciences with his thesis titled "Phenomenology and Aesthetics" in 2003 and his doctorate at the same place with his thesis titled "The Grounding of Aesthetic Value in Morıtz Geiger and Nicolai Hartmann" in 2007 and received the title of doctor. He worked as a visiting professor at Duquesne University, Department of Philosophy for two years. He conducted research on phenomenology and Husserl at the Simon Silverman Phenomenology Center. He was a member of the editorial board of the journal Yeniyazı. Türker was awarded the TUBITAK 2219 Project Award in 2008 for "The Contribution of Phenomenology to Critical Theory and Critical Theory's Critique of Phenomenology" and the TUBITAK 2219 Project Award in 2014 for "The Problem of Dialecticism in Husserl's Phenomenology". He translated the books İslam Bilim Tarihi (with Cemile İpar; 2000, Litera Publishing, 416 pp.) and Tom Rockmore, Marx after Marxism (2014, Ayrıntı Publishing, İst., 320 pp.). He is currently a faculty member at Ibn Haldun University, Department of Philosophy.
