Short Biography
Nurhayat BEKIR completed her secondary education in Istanbul Prof. Dr. Mümtaz Turhan Social Sciences High School and graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2015. She accomplished Erasmus Internship Mobility in Germany in 2012. After completing legal internship in 2016 under the Istanbul Bar Association, while she was working as a lawyer, she started the Bahçeşehir University Social Sciences Institute Public Law graduate program simultaneously. She graduated from the program in 2018, defending her thesis entitled "Freedom of Religion and Conscience of Working Woman". Currently, she is PhD Candidate and writing her thesis “Artificial Intelligence as Social Control Mechanism” at Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Public Law. Between 2017-2020, she worked as research assistant at Istanbul Şehir University, Faculty of Law in the field of Philosophy and Sociology of Law. She has been working as research assistant in the same field at Ibn Haldun University Faculty of Law since January 2022. She speaks Turkish (native), English (advanced), German (upper-intermediate) and French (beginner).
