Ömer Faruk Petek graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Law in 2009. He completed his Master's degree program in Private Law at Galatasaray University Institute of Social Sciences with his thesis titled "Arbitrator's Rights and Obligations Pursuant to the Arbitration Agreement" in 2014. He continues his doctoral studies in the same field at Istanbul University. Between 2011-2017, he worked as a Research Assistant at Istanbul Şehir University Faculty of Law, Department of Civil Law.  Since its establishment in 2017, he has been working as a Research Assistant in the Department of Civil Law at Ibn Haldun University Faculty of Law.
