Saliha Merve Kaya graduated from Kartal Anadolu Imam Hatip High School in 2005. She completed her undergraduate education at Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Law in 2010. She completed her master's degree in Public Law at Istanbul University SBE in 2015 with her thesis titled “Judicial Proceeding of Child in Practice: Examining Case Files in Juvenile Courts in Istanbul Anadolu Courthouse” and her doctorate in 2025 with her Ph.D. thesis titled “Sentencing in Turkish and English Law Systems”. She worked as a visiting researcher at IALS (London) with a TÜBİTAK scholarship for her Ph.D. thesis. Between 2017 and 2025, she worked as a research assistant in the Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Department at the Faculty of Law, Ibn Haldun University. She is currently serving as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law at Ibn Haldun University.
