Prof. Dr. Şener Büyüköztürk completed his graduate education at Ankara University, where he earned his master's degree in Educational Administration and Planning in 1992 and his Ph.D. in the same field in 1996. He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Educational Measurement and Evaluation in 2005 and was promoted to Full Professor in 2010.

Throughout his academic career, he has held both academic and administrative positions at Ankara University, Başkent University, Gazi University, Hasan Kalyoncu University, and, since 2026, Ibn Haldun University. He currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Ibn Haldun University.

His research interests include research methods in the social sciences, quantitative data analysis, scale development and adaptation, performance evaluation, and social impact analysis. He has published 66 articles in national and international journals, presented 47 conference papers, and authored five books.

As of June 2026, his publications have received 293 citations in Web of Science (H-index: 6), 423 citations in Scopus (H-index: 8), and 89,967 citations in Google Scholar (H-index: 67). In addition, he has served as a principal investigator, researcher, or consultant in 43 research projects funded by public institutions.
