Dr Yasmin Aldamen completed her PhD from the communication faculty at Istanbul University.  She is an Assistant Professor at the Department of New Media and Communication at the Faculty of Communication at Ibn Haldun University. She was a visiting researcher at Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) in Germany.
She teaches undergraduate and graduate degrees. Her research interests include media theories, qualitative and quantitative research approaches, and media and interpersonal communication. She is also interested in communication, media, and community studies and the effects of the media on refugees and forced migration. She has published articles on different topics indexed in WoS, Scopus, DOAJ, EBSCO, ProQuest, and others.
