Short Biography

Zakir Demir graduated from Necmettin Erbakan University, Faculty of Theology in 2015. Then he began his academic career as a research assistant at Siirt University, Faculty of Theology in the same year. In 2016, he moved to Marmara University for post-graduate studies within the scope of the Faculty Member Training Program. He completed his MA thesis entitled “Terms of Tafsir and Quranic Sciences in the Literature of Taʻrīfāt Ḥudūd Muṣṭalaḥāt” at Marmara University, Graduate School of Social Sciences, Department of Quranic Exegesis in 2017. This study published by Araştırma Press under the name of “An Alternative Field to Tafsir Terminology: Taʻrīfāt Ḥudūd Muṣṭalaḥāt Literature”, in 2020. He completed his Ph.D. dissertation titled “The Essence of Quranic Excerpts in the Context of Divine References” at Marmara University, Graduate School of Social Sciences, Department of Quranic Exegesis, in 2022. He also completed his second undergraduate academic degree in English Language and Literature, which he started at Istanbul Şehir University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in 2018, at Marmara University Faculty of Arts and Sciences in 2022. He authored many articles, books and book chapters regarding the Quranic Exegesis. Currently, he is working as an Assist. Professor, at Siirt University, Faculty of Theology. He speaks Arabic and English fluently.
