Associate Professor Dr. A. Dilşad Yakut completed her undergraduate and master’s degree in elementary education. She completed her doctoral degree in special education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in the United States of America. She worked as a research assistant and/or teaching assistant during her doctoral degree. After completing her doctoral degree, Dr. Yakut worked as a Postdoctoral Clinical Scholar at the Learning Disabilities Program of Boston Children’s Hospital (Harvard Med School) which has been named #1 pediatric hospital in the USA. She has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses both at home and abroad. Her research interests include inclusive education, specific learning disabilities, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders, professional development of teachers, assistive technology, assessment and evaluation in special education.
