Autobiography of Chi-Ching CHEN
Ms. Chi-Ching CHEN is a native speaker of the Mandarin Chinese language from the Republic of China, Taiwan.  She holds a master’s degree in European Culture and Economy from Ruhr-University-Bochum, Germany.  She has taught Mandarin Chinese to German students and Chinese children in Germany.  In between schools, she worked full-time in the private sector.  She often traveled between Taiwan and mainland China (the People’s Republic of China).  From 2011 to 2018, she was enrolled in the dual doctoral degree program in political science at National Sun Yat-sen University (Taiwan) and in social anthropology at University Leuven, Belgium.  Concurrently, she was teaching civics to high school students in Taiwanese public high schools.  Afterwards, she contributed her time and energy to the South Cultural and Educational Foundation in Taiwan, which is a non-profit organization that promotes Life Education and raises collective consciousness to reconsider the value of the life and cherish the life.
Thanks to her diverse background, especially in language acquisition, she holds a junior college degree in Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages, which is the premier institute for language training and acquisition in Taiwan.  Wenzao has instilled in her a strong interest in language (both research and teaching).  Naturally, she has given private tutorial courses in Chinese, English, German to students and adults.  In order to maintain and further her skills in teaching the Mandarin Chinese language, she has earned the certificate of Mandarin teaching training program offered by the Mandarin Training Center at National Normal University, Taiwan, which provides the best training in Chinese teaching training education.  In the fall of 2024, she began teaching Mandarin Chinese at the School of Languages in Ibn Haldun University, Başakşehir-Istanbul, Türkiye.
